Whelan is a Consultant Software Developer at Thoughtworks with interests in technology’s interaction with the art world. Whelan has a degree in Computer Science from Georgia State University in Atlanta.

Whelan contributed to the inception and first development stages of A Father’s Lullaby. Whelan also is also host of the Hardware Hack Lab in New York.
