Austin Garrard is a software developer at Thoughtworks, based in Austin, Texas. He builds web applications in a variety of domains. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Computer Engineering. He’s active in supporting organizations that are socially and environmentally conscious.

Austin contributed to Salaf [Arabic: سلف , ancestor] (2020) by doing exploratory runs of StyleGAN on image archives curated by Nouf Aljowaysir. He also helped estimate the cost of building high-quality StyleGAN models using AWS resources.
